I am in process of completing my BSN and I was wondering what would be the best certification to get once I obtain my BSN Degree?

I would think which specialty certification to get would depend upon which specialty you want to work in - is this what you are asking?

If you are looking at certs for specialties, you need to have experience in those specialties before you can get the cert.

The way it usually works is that you pick your job and once you have worked there for a while see how and if you can get specialty certified. I am a certified hospice and palliative nurse.
In addition there are also "other" certifications that are not specialty certifications like "iv certified" and such.

I have a specialty certification in rehabilitation nursing (CRRN) that I obtained a little over a year ago. However, I had many years of experience as a rehab nurse at the time I became certified in that specialty.
Now that I'm a case manager, I'll obtain certification as a CCM (certified case mgr). But before that happens, I must accrue two years of verifiable CM experience.
In other words, you can only obtain specialty certifications if you have legitimate experience in those specialties. Good luck to you.

Focus on completing your degree, then focus on passing NCLEX, then focus on getting a job, THEN focus on orientation...
eventually you'll want certifications.
Good on you for thinking ahead. But don't worry about all that right now!

Maybe BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP if you work with babies... I've never paid for these though. My employers always pay for them after I was already working.
