Nursing Students General Students

I know alot of places dont accept the work from ameritech, but has anyone been able to apply to a BSN program after getting the ASN from ameritech? or did you have to do the BSN through ameritech. Where did you guys go?

Please help!

if you already know that you will have trouble getting your degree from Ameritech to mean anything to another school, and I know from your other post that a degree from Ameritech is going to cost you $52K which is nuts, why are you considering this school?!

Ameritech offers a completely online ASN-BSN. They also supposedly have articulation agreements ensuring transferability of credits to specific schools but I don't yet know with whom or for what program. I hope to call and find out this week.

If Ameritech's nursing program is unaccredited, a number of nonprofit RN-to-BSN completion programs exist that may grant you admission:

Well, that answers that question. None of these are well-considered by genuine academic institutions. All for-profit schools, and you would be well-advised to steer well clear of them.

Western governors university is a cheap, "regionally" accredited program. The other institutions are very expensive and are not regionally accepted. I would for sure steer away

but I recently found out, the university of Utah, Weber state and westminister college (all regionally accredited institutions) will accept Ameritech RN degree for their RN to BSN program, but they won't accept any general education. So for example I received my AS degree in general studies at Weber state. When I called Weber state and the U of U they said they would accept Ameritech RN degree since they are ANCE accredited, but only as long as I completed prerequisites and any other general ed at a "regionally" accredited institution then I am good to go to apply. Otherwise if I did take my gen ed at a public or non regionally accredited institution I would have to start all over. Matter of fact Weber state requires non regionally accredited RN graduates who are apply must have a AS degree in general studies or any other higher degree from a "regionally accredited" institution. I did all my generals at a regionally accredited institution and transferred them in to ameritech, which saved me a grip load of money!
