BSHP Spring 2021 (Baptist School of Health Professions) ADN

Published

Has anyone here applied to Baptist School of Health Professional in SA, TX for Spring 2021 . I just took my TEAS test today. I haven’t seen a thread for this coming semester so I wanted to start one.

“The Baptist Health System School of Health Professions, established 1903, is an accredited professional health science school sponsored by the Baptist Health System. It is located at the South Texas Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, US”

I found this on the website. ?

I just found out they take in about 90 students each semester for their program. I don't know how many applicants they have but I just sent out my transcripts and TEAS score and they said I will have a final decision two weeks after the deadline so mid October.

Hi! I applied for the Spring 2021 daytime program as a back up to SAC. I called BSHP and confirmed they only offer the evening program admission during the fall semester. I applied to BSHP and got in for this fall 2020, but I did not enroll. All of my stats are the same, though, so I assume I will get in for Spring 2021 without issue. Thanks for starting this thread!!

hey! Welcome! What are your stats? Do you know how competitive the program is?

My science pre-req GPA is 3.33 and my TEAS was 90.7%, all sections were over 90% except the science which was 83%. My impression is they rank the applications by the numbers and offer admissions. It's convenient they are so quick with the turnaround. Less than 2 weeks and they get you a decision, so you don't have to wait long!

That sounds good! You’re definitely getting in again. Do you know if they have a waitlist?

I'm not aware of a wait list, but they do have an "alternate list." When people do not accept the admissions offer, space opens up and they contact alternates to offer them enrollment instead.

I just heard they do have a waitlist. Hoping for the best??

I’m a current student. Usually they take about 90, but I heard they may take a little less due to COVID.  Also the ADN program is accredited, but the RN to BSN program is not.

Oh that’s a shame! How are you liking the program? What are your stats if you don't mind me asking?
