  1. Hey again. Do you happen to know what that direct deposit form is the school asks before you start the program? I’m just trying to be cautious with what I share especially when it involves my bank account.
  2. Ohhh okay thanks again! It seems like lectures will be online even until next semester. They told us clinicals and labs will still be in person and some clinicals may be virtual which makes sense I guess and is good cuz I only purchased two sets of scrubs which I'd have to wash every use. Are you still doing clinicals on site?
  3. Thank you so much! Was really losing my marbles at the whole textbook buying process cuz I was unsure which ones are actually used more than 5 times. Did you buy the Med surg book from the FA Davis site they provide?
  4. Did you guys also use Essentials for Nursing with textbook and study guide? It is one of our required ones and I wanted to know if it used. We did not have a required text called nursing diagnosis or is it named differently?
  5. Hey everyone, Just reaching out to ask about the textbooks for the first semester. I am currently getting them but would like to know which textbooks are used mostly and can be utilized for the rest of the program compared to what is only going to be used for this first semester. I have the ebooks for the textbooks for essentials of nursing and also have the concept mapping one and the drug guide but I do like actual textbooks so I may have to purchase it.
  6. Yeah I agree, I have my bg check tomorrow. I’m still collecting all immunization records, it’s the most stressful part honestly. But don’t worry you still got lots of time!
  7. LOL same! Did you receive your account set up and background check email already? Do you have any suggestions on materials and essentials you found useful throughout your cohort so far?
  8. I’ll definitely let you know! How many tops and bottoms do you plan to purchase?
  9. Thank you, I ordered a sample scrub from uniform advantage cuz its cheap and had good reviews. I’m really thin and know that scrubs usually run big, I was a Nurse aide last year and wore a small on scrubs and they were large on me.
  10. Since we asking materials and stuff on here. Can anyone recommend good scrubs for uniforms? I know people are gonna say Figs is good and honestly as tempted as I may want to get them, I just feel like its not worth it if Im sewing a patch on to it.
  11. I literally gasped LOL its good to know there’s fellow Filipinos around San Antonio. I know for sure a lot of Californians move to Texas for the low cost of living, I felt I needed a change of location, and it was almost time to move out of my parents nest. I’m actually looking forward to living there!
  12. Thank you for that, these are helpful. I am settling here in San Antonio for good, my whole family actually is moving here believe it or not. Is it that uncommon to have out of state students at BSHP. I’ve only lived in California for a few years, originally came from the Philippines.
  13. Also since you mentioned it’s 30k, does it go down if you have your general education courses done? I did two years at a college and finished all my classes required to get a degree. I was hoping at least it would go down to 20-23k. Also FAFSA hopefully would help. But still I’m moving because the programs here in California are full, like even the LVN programs here cost about 40-50k, it’s brutal. (LOL sorry I know you’ve heard it a million times but it really is expensive here.)
  14. LOL I swear I don’t know what to expect in Texas when I move. My parents literally told me to expect Texans to hate my California “attitude” whatever that meant, But thank you for the heads up! It’s definitely something to get used to.
