Broward Community College 2016

I am 27 years old. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. I also had in mind that I would go to Pharmacy School until while working in a pharmacy and speaking to all of the Pharmacist about Pharmacy school and the job market and the salaries, I realized that it wasn't worth it. I then made up my mind just to pursue a Master in Anesthesiology only to find out I need to be a RN.

I looked into doing the LPN program at Sheridan Technical College which is 12 months for approximately $6,000 and take and pass the TEAS V exam. I would start August 2015 but then I would have to do an LPN to RN program which wold be and additional 12-18 months and more money.

I looked into doing the RN program at Broward Community College which is 18 months and is approximately $11,700 I would have to take Anatomy & Physiology 1&2 w/ lab and Microbiology w/ lab before and take and pass the HESI exam. So I wouldn't start until May 2016.

Does anyone have any advice or shed some insight on BCC nursing program?

I think you should go to FAU or miami dade college and do their accelerated nursing program. Broward College is a good school but I dont think it is worth it if you already have a Bachelors. Broward College's program is extremely challenging and very few students make it out. You need to anticipate being there for atleast 2 years or more and that's if you're lucky.

For CRNA you will need a BSN plus 2-5 years critical care experience.

Fwiw, I also have a Bach in chemistry and a masters degree. I'm now in an ADN program. From there I will bridge over to the BSN then into an advance practice role

I was told by multiple Advisors of CRNA programs that because I already hold a Bachelors degree in A related field that They don't require me to have a BSN only to be a RN and have the ICU experience.

I don't know if you checked out Nova Southeastern University, but they have an anesthesia assistant program that is a master's level. It is a specialized Physician's assistant program. It is comparable to a nurse anesthetist. You probably have all the required classes or most of them. Check it out.
