Just wondering if anybody applied for Jan full time RN? If so what points did you receive? I got 14 total points, hopefully it's enough to get me in
I agree with Silentmind....I didn't think Micro, or should I say ****, was as hard as everyone made him out to be. I thought **** was a very good teacher and I would recommend him. **********, not so much. Either way, I still wouldn't take Micro WITH Nursing. There are people who have done it, though. The first summer in the nursing program, you will have the second 6 weeks off, so you can take Micro then. Personally, I'd rather just have the break and not worry about anything.
So Silent.....did you take the day or evening lecture for Micro? You might have been in my class :)

Yeah, ********** killed it for me. I dont think I learned a single thing in that class since he took over. My grades held up alright, but I didn't actually learn anything. I was taking the evening classes. 5:00 and 6:30. Which one were you?
Does anyone know when BC will start using entrance test ?Is the May session harder that the rest of the other session or is it the same ?
I'm not in a position to know, but I would imagine its harder to get into...seeing as how theres fewer campuses/less spots available. I can't imagine the number of applicants dropping drastically, especially since everyone that didn't get into the january session is going to be trying again.
Thats a good question about the entrance test. I'm not entirely sure, but from what I hear...you have to take the tests after you start anyways. It couldnt hurt to have another area you could use to put yourself ahead of the crowd point wise.

may session is more challenging b/c the nursing courses are only 6 weeks instead of 8. also, pharm is only 13 weeks instead of 16. although, it doesn't sound like that great of a difference. those few weeks can make a difference.

i didnt realize there was actually a difference in the length of the classes. does that mean the program isn't as long as the others?
Slient-
I was in the 9:30 and the 11:00. My grades held up good, too, but I did better with **** for sure. I'm still a little perturbed that ********** won't let us know our final grades for lecture and lab, but I guess its water under the bridge now. What campus are you going to for A&P?

I try to take most of my classes up at north, seeing as how I live over in springs. I'm signed up with ******** for both. I'm going to have to head down to central for the Health Careers core though. I assume you're at north too, or you wouldn't have had ****.
********** has never really been big on communication. He always seemed to make us wait as long as possible before letting us know any of our grades, as opposed to **** who had them posted when you walked into class. There was one instance after the midterm where ********** misfed the scantrons so the original ones he posted were wrong, and more then a little disspiriting. I found out two days later that the grades had changed simply by finding the sheet on his desk. He never even bothered to mention it to the class. I think they have some responsibility to inform us of our grades for individual tests. But yes...theres not a whole lot we can do about it at this point. They should be posting...monday, right?
EDIT: Oh, wow. I just checked and they already posted. Looks like my grades didn't hold up as well as I thought they did. Meh.

so the test is not before you get in, its after ?

Micro really wasnt as rough as most people made it out to be, at least not for me. I'd reccomend taking ****(north), he can be difficult but he goes above and beyond to make sure that you get the material, and he's pretty lenient with the grades. I just finished up the class last week with no problem.
