Broward College RN Program May 2010

Published

Has anyone turned in their application yet?! Btw, I heard that Central campus might NOT have a May class :sniff:

Thank god, that math doesn't look too hard. I guess it ended up helping in the end that i became a pharmacy technician

Thank you Sunray, for all of the information you took the time to post -- in various threads, not just this one.

Very helpful.

The math is not that bad---

just remember your BC rounding rules, conversions, and make sure you don't miss more than one question.......

I wish they had calculators like any other normal nursing school....... to lessen the nervousness I felt while taking those tests.

Nova is expensive ttrue, but it is 2 years and 3 months. most people finish at BCC within that time. only a few complete the program in 18 months. You do not have the same degree ; at nova you have bachelor degree where as at BC you get an associate. They offer financial aid ad scholarship also. If you finish at Bc and want a bachelor degree you will need to go for at least 1 year to 18 months in some school. that is over 30 months. If you cannot afford it it is understandable, but if you can why not?

hey peeps,

hey dawn, it's jonathan. well, here's the deal. i can't afford to wait to get in. i have 8 points total, and i'm kinda worried and hoping that i will make it in the summer, but i'm not sure because i heard that they might not have a summer rn program at central. regardless, i heard that 8 points should get me in so i'm gonna cross my fingers. from everything i've read, here is the one thing i understand. when it's gonna come down to being in nursing, we shouldn't worry about anything else. forget about instructors giving us a hard time, we need to make sure we succeed. i think it's safe to say that a lot of us need this education. we need to get good jobs, and getting back to work. so i'm not gonna let some instructors make me lose my cool or focus. they can yell at me all they want, humiliate me in front of the whole class, and work me to the bone, but i will come out of their with my degree because i have to.

johnathan are you the one that is in my chem at bcc scuber instructor..

nope, sorry, i'm in Health care core, already took chem at fau :D

Ok so I'm taking my finals for AP2 2morrow and grade should be in by the 18th I don't know if the Health Science admission will be open over the winter break so I can turn in my application does anyone know or any advice....I was also told by the lady in that department that North is the only campus offering the program in May should I turn it in at north or it doesn't matter ?

You have until January 15th to turn in your application....and you can take it to any campus. I spoke to the admissions counselor at Central campus and she told me that Central campus is just waiting to get approval from the local hospitals (for clinicals) for the May program. So hopefully they get that approval..if not, see you at North campus!! :D

Good luck to you! (and everyone else of course!)

Happy Holidays!!

if anyone gets any new info, let us know!!!!

Thank you I'm just anxious to turn my application in

I PASSED CHEM WITH AN "A" thank you Lord!!!! now i can say my points without wondering.. I have 10 points. i hope that is enough for the summer 100 seats is all they have for NORTH.. I am so confused!!! i hear so much horror stories bout Central.. but i live so close.. Is NORTH really far to drive every day for 18 months and cant be LATE!!!! IS CENTRAL really that bad.. the stories i hear make me believe that it is that bad!!!

Yay for jam911 :yeah::yeah::yeah: but I also live closer to Central and I don't know what to do either....I would Hate to get into central and Not be treated right especially during the May program where everything is condensed :(
