Has anyone turned in their application yet?! Btw, I heard that Central campus might NOT have a May class :sniff:

I'm soo sad :crying2:.. I really hope the "Space Avail" thing is a clue to why we were not accepted. I hope they really consider opening Central for summer. And when do you know if you are an alternate?? Would it say it in the Limited Access App. or in a seperate email. I'm bumbed out. Keeping hope though.

i am a wreck.. now i have to worry about a hesi.. i did all this suffering to get in Summer! so much craming!!!

the thing is.. you will get in the Fall term cuz its three campus.. it was just the summer term that has less seats. so u may want to hold out on paying 2000 for the grade.. u have a good chance of getting in the Fall.. a even better chance cuz now they have a process of elimination with the HESI so people that has the grades may not necessarly get in cuz they may not pass the HESI.. Its all a game and a money making thing.... you know how much doe they are going to make cuz people will be paying to take that test over and over now!!!!

The thing is that I can't take anymore chances, I need to start this program. It might hurt right now, but at least I'll be 100% sure I'll get in. It sucks, but i have to do it

Jonathan- PM me your grades for each class, and I will tell you what your pts will be if you can an A in the class you got a C in.

As far as the HESI, its really NOT that bad. They made us take it the first month after starting the program, I guess to help decide on what to set as the parameters for admission once the test was implemented. I believe you have to score at least a 75% on the A&P portion, and a 75% overall. I got an 88% on the A&P and a 91 point something % overall.

Does anyone know the name of the HESI study book? or is it specifically from BCC???

I've seen the book at BC. It's not BC's cook, but they do sell it there.

During the time I applied for BC nursing program I also applied for the LPN program @ Mcfatter so I am also waiting on that call that I am in for April 2010 b/c I am tired of waiting. I applied 5 times to BC and each time I got Not Accepted due to space availability so I am just going to get my LPN licence then apply after I get my licence for the LPN-RN transition program @ BC b/c I am ready to get this over with:oornt:. HOWEVER :D:yeah:, if BC calls me or e-mail me saying im in for summer then I am going with them than becoming an LPN. LPN is just another way to put my foot in the door to become a nurse which is a year (but might be less than a year for me b/c I got my A.A degree from BC so I basically took most of the classes they require)

As far as the HESI goes I took that same test @ FAU and its really nothing as long as you work on your weaknesses more than your strongest. I studied more on math and scored higher than any other subjects(reading comprehension, grammer, etc.). If you really want to pay BC price for the HESI book go right ahead but I just bought the book @ Barnes and Nobles for like $20.00 or you can check it out @ the library. The book does not say HESI on the front when you are searching for it but it says NURSE ENTRANCE EXAM practice book. Any Nurse Entrance Exam practice book is good b/c it has all the subjects you need to pass the HESI exam. So you really don't need to buy their book unless you really want to, b/c you are just giving BC more of your money. PM me if you want more information about it :twocents::twocents::specs:

I went to FIU to improve my grade, I took A&P 1 which I had a C in from BC(just the lecture), and chemistry lecture only also. Which did not cost me $4000 like keiser would have. YES BC accepted my grades from FIU and did not tell me I had to go to a private institution for them to accpet it.

A&P 1 = B

A&P 1 lab = A

A&P 2 = A

A&P 2 lab =A

English = C

Chemistry = B

I think it applies only for english, i'll ask tomorrow when i go there
