I was ****** about last semester as well because the Health Core was done on the 22nd I couldnt apply, the HCP isnt even calculated into the GPA.

Anyhow i have to think about something else

Congrats to all that got accepted!!!! we are proud of you but just sadden that they shorten the amount of students to less than what the MIN was.. Keep us posted

I have a question if it says due to "space availability" is there still hope you can be an alternate if enough defer their seats? Or would your status say you are an alternate?

I spoke with the lady @ Central b/c I got the same denial with 9 points..I am not a broward county resident so I lost a point for that ...she told me the cut off was @ 12 points....but to keep checking my email and status b/c we have until May!! What the hell is that suppose to mean?? Are they going to to open up another campus??? I have so many questions....

man!!! that C in enc messes me up big time!!!! i a got A A B A A C and i still got a da@# denial letter. and i got 1 point for broward looks like i needed All A's bcc coming to be like mdc!!!

First off, it seems like its a fluke because they only accepted 75 for summer semester. I know its tough, but keep your heads up. If it was a normal semester where they accept 300 people, you all would have been in. Hold out hope. People are going to defer....summer is a killer semester to start the nursing program in. I have never heard of the "space avail" thing, so it must mean something. I heard of someone who applied for last summer get a straight up denial and was called a month later to be offered a seat, so until its May 10 and the semester begins, there is hope. and who knows, maybe they're still trying to figure out if Central is going to be accepting people for summer.

I'm gonna go tomorrow to check how much of a point difference it would be to change my grade from a "c" to an "a". Then I'm gonna talk to an advisor and check to see what do I need to study for the hesi. We gotta keep our heads up ppl

We really do...but just FYI Nova is taking apps now so I am applying there as well. They collected sooo much money from application fees and basically just took our money...they knew they were only going to take that many people..It really sucks! I really hope they let us all in!! I don't understand why not...if you want to be a nurse you should be given the opportunity to be one!!

the thing is.. you will get in the Fall term cuz its three campus.. it was just the summer term that has less seats. so u may want to hold out on paying 2000 for the grade.. u have a good chance of getting in the Fall.. a even better chance cuz now they have a process of elimination with the HESI so people that has the grades may not necessarly get in cuz they may not pass the HESI.. Its all a game and a money making thing.... you know how much doe they are going to make cuz people will be paying to take that test over and over now!!!!
