Nope not yet but I will be soon. I am finishing up the last 2 prereqs right now. I am planning on taking the HESI the end of April. We are the first class that has to take it which sucks lol. Did u take it yet?
o really? well make sure u get those A's! and yes it does suck, but on the other hand, the hesi may be a good thing (being that it might lessen the applicant pool if some people dont pass it.) well.. i took the hesi in february and let me tell you that it wasnt at all hard so dont stress yourself out over it. the a&p portion was a little nerve-wrecking for me but everything else was a breeze. the test is just very long and annoying. but you will do fine just make sure you study for it. i turned my application in this week n the first thing the lady asked me was,, "did you take the hesi yet?" ... so yup theres no way around it lol
yah ive been studying the a&p 1 stuff for the last 2 months. what a pain i took this class a couple yrs ago so i didnt remember much. right now i am on the brain. do u remember any questions from the a&p part
oh ok that is good.. just keep studying because it asks really random questions, theres no true way to know exactly whats going to be on the test. there were about 30 mult. choice q's for that section.. of the few i remember....
Ex: In which organ are T lymphocytes produced? answer choices were something like.. (a) thalamus (b) thyroid © thymus (d) tonsils. ( i stupidly got this one wrong lol)
Another question was: If a person's ulnar nerve was defective, what part of the body does this affect (a) arm (b) leg © back.. etc etc.
There was one or two questions about the body planes such as transverse plane, coronal, saggital. And also a question about anatomical positions such as distal, proximal, medial, etc.
There was a question about the endocrine system.. something about what hormone is produced by a particular gland. i believe the question was which hormone is produced in the anterior pituitary (a) antidiuretic hormone (b) growth hormone...etc.
And the only muscle question i remember was... which muscle is an abductor muscle (a) gluteus maximus (b) trapezius © latissimus dorsi (d) deltoid (i think)
and the last question i remember was one about some boy having a middle ear infection and it asks what part of the ear does it affect.
thats all i remember from the test for the most part... however.. i doubt you will receive these same exact questions. like i stated.. the ?'s are random and require u to have a general and in depth knowledge about a&p

Im also taking the Hesi in april. My question is how are the math questions? Was it difficult? I have one classmate said there alot of questions on fractions. Right now I am practicing metric conversions and I wanted to know was there a sheet that listed the conversion factor like 1ft= 12 inches because the HESI book is terrible to learn from at times. And were there any simple conversions.
But in simple terms, how were the math questions? What type of question on there? temperature, mass, fraction, division, multiplication and simple math
Also, did the vocabulary from the HESI book help with vocabulary terms on the exam. Im studying that, but also studying additional vocab general medical terminology.
And how was the Reading section
I am greatly appreciative of answers. SO sorry for drilling for answers. Im a nerve wreck from the test.
Thank you so much
The math questions are very simple. However, it is very easy to make a mistake in your calculations that could throw the entire answer off.. being that they dont give a calculator. There were alot of conversion problems on the test and they do not give you a conversion sheet so try your best to memorize as many conversions as you can. Some conversions i already knew by heart without having studied them, but there were a lot i didnt know. There are basic addition subtraction multiplication and division problems. There were also a lot of fractions, they werent that bad. Just study the fraction section thoroughly-- it helps
&& the vocabulary section in the hesi book did not help me whatsoever. it was very different from the section on the test. having that said, the vocabulary section is also quite simple. The reading section wasnt that bad either.. theres alot of short paragraph passages to read and then a series of questions to answr after each passage.
hope this helped.
I thought you were allowed to use the computer's calculator on the math section
yes i read you are able to use the computer calculator and i also think a whiteboard also:up:

I just took the HESI last Saturday, I was only allowed to use a dry erase sheet for the math section. There wasn't a calculator available. The math was pretty simple, mostly fractions, some conversions, the study guide was very helpful in studying for the math.
