I am a prospective student for the BC nursing program in January 2021. Is anyone else planning to apply? I know it will be a bit different than normal due to Covid so I wanted to see where everyone was at in the process. Have you taken the HESI yet? I am wrapping up the last of my prerequisite classes now.

Absolutely! As long as you go over those sections and know the math from the book, you will do well! It won’t be as hard as you think ?

OMG that’s so good!! I hope I do that well, do you have any other Tips? And how were the other sections?

@Jazzy98 Make sure you review the endocrine, reproductive, and digestive systems and are familiar with mitosis and meiosis. The math was pretty simple, it just takes a bit of time to work through some of the problems.

The reading section was easy but by the time I got to that section I was so tried of reading all of the problems! So you may want to do that part first.

Just be sure to take your time and don't rush and you will do great!

Is everyone applying to the full time program or the part time?

Do you guys know the approximate days/hours the full time program is? Like is it usually 5 days a week, 8 hour days or something like that?

@KT2021 Do you know what the average schedule for the full time program is? I'm just curious about how many days a week the classes/clinicals usually are.

Hi everyone,

I am also applying for January 2021 full time program.

Does anyone know if the program goes straight through the Summer or if there is a Summer break? I know the program is 5 semesters long but I was reading in another thread that it ends up feeling more like 7 semesters long due to taking summers off?

Basically, does anyone know the completion date?

Hi! @CharleneChar Did you read that on a Broward College thread? Do you know if it was for both full time and part time program?

I wasn’t aware that the program gives us the Summer off. I’m actually a bit worried since that seems like it would be wasting time LOL. I guess I just assumed it was 5 consecutive semesters.

I did! I’m trying to find the thread now. And no I haven’t applied yet, I’m still waiting to take my HESI and then I will apply! I’m also worried if we get summers off LOL, I’d rather just go straight through
