Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.
Congrats to all who were accepted into the January 2017 class!
I am currently in Process 2, and I must say nursing school is definitely very different than the schooling we're used to. It moves very quick so you have to manage your time wisely. You'll feel like the fact that you are even breathing means you're procrastinating. BUT it is absolutely amazing. If you are determined to make it through this program, you will. The August class was one of the highest GPA classes BC has had in a while, and we did really well in Process 1. From what I've read, your class seems to have a higher GPA pull as well. It definitely feels great to sit amongst a room full of hard working individuals like yourselves. Don't take it lightly. NO, this program is NOT easy. NO, they don't hold your hand through this. You kind of have to figure things out on your own, but it prepares you to think critically. I am very happy with the decision I've made. & I know you all will be happy too. I'm doing well in the program, and I'm sure you all will too.
At orientation, be sure to listen to Nichole. She will literally tell you everything that you need to know. Good luck to you all! Your journey has just begun!

Thank you for this update and the needed advice bethanyblush - it's really appreciated!! Well done on your success so far. It's really reassuring to hear such positive words about the program.
Would you mind providing a tentative weekly (Monday - Sunday) schedule of the first semester? I understand the class days/timings (Process I, Lab, Clinical,Rx, & Math) but can you please advise on your time outside of the lecture specifically (return demo, etc. ) and the clinicals? Are they two days a week for the entire 8 weeks or just the beginning? The sample schedule is posted on the BC website which is very helpful, but was just curious from a realistic approach. How soon after being accepted into the program, did you start studying for the program? Also, what clinical skills were you able to 'perform' during the clinicals?
I'm sure you are very busy, so your previous post and any additional advice is sincerely appreciated. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! :)

Does anyone know if any alternates were accepted during the August 2016 program?
