Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.
I think broward just started getting more competitive this year because I've seen so many terms prior to this get in with like a 2.6. Idk. I'm going to start putting up money to retake English before the deadline for may. I don't understand why our status didn't change at all to at least say for sure if we were denied. At this point I would like to at least see alt seat.
here's a little info from the email...
"There were 554 applicants competing for 265 seats in the January 2017 Registered Nursing (AS) class. Two hundred and sixty five (265) applicants were selected who earned between 7 and 16 total points and had pre-requisite GPA's between 3.1 and 4.0. Alternates earned 6 total points, and had pre-requisite GPA's of 3.09. In this class, there are 34 alternates."
