Broward College Nursing Program August 2016

Updated:   Published

Hello!

I just wanted to make a thread for nursing program at BC for this coming Fall semester.

I passed the Hesi last week after 4 days of studying. (Got tired of studying the Elvesier book so I took my chances)

My overall score: 85%. My lowest score's reading: 78% ( English is my second language and I took this section last so didn't have enough time to really read the questions)

I turned in my application last Wednesday. The lady said to look for an email around May- June.

Anyone is applying for Fall? Did your status on myBC change yet?

Does anybody know which campuses go to which hospitals for clinicals? Has anybody heard anything negative about the program at central campus?

My best friend just graduated from central almost a year ago and she loved central. She said its most definitely hard and challenging and the teachers don't give it easy but she loved it! I plan on going to central [emoji120]

So we register for classes after orientation ?

after orientation they give you a date to register I believe and then you do.

I am thinking that I might try to get into central too. It's only 15 min away from me.

South campus goes to Memorial and Central goes two other hospital. South have smaller group of student u have higher chance to get Memorial scholarship which pays for everything and u get 3 years contract with Memorial. I look at my option but I am very calculative in the long run decisions. I mean I don't mind driving 15 minutes extra knowing that I go to the hospital that I like. So making this decision is not just about the campus but the opportunities you get by the hospital. I love south campus is small and I would have close relationship with my peers.
