Broward College Nursing Program August 2016

Updated:   Published

Hello!

I just wanted to make a thread for nursing program at BC for this coming Fall semester.

I passed the Hesi last week after 4 days of studying. (Got tired of studying the Elvesier book so I took my chances)

My overall score: 85%. My lowest score's reading: 78% ( English is my second language and I took this section last so didn't have enough time to really read the questions)

I turned in my application last Wednesday. The lady said to look for an email around May- June.

Anyone is applying for Fall? Did your status on myBC change yet?

I am finally done with everything with complio. I Feel I can breathe now, and now just taking my two folders to have them review by our school dean. I felt I would never finish or that it was impossible to finish it. Now can really focus on my classes and finishing my shopping list, to be ready for admission orientation coming up in august.

They email you PDF file that you print out. If you didn't get the email contact complio they would forward to you again

Does anyone know how to get the receipt for the background check?
Does anyone know how to get the receipt for the background check?

I never received the email after my background check's completed on Complio, I emailed them and basically under the "Report" on the left hand side when you log into the site, you will be able to print it out.

Thank you

Does anyone have their employment verification completed? It's been a week mine still say in progress.

I'm having a hard time finding all white leather shoes...Which ones of these would be ok for clinical (Central campus)?

Has anyone gotten the scrubs from bookstore? The sizes don't fit very well. It's either too big or too small. I've noticed someone on the older threads said that he/she got the scrubs from uniform store and did the embroidered. Any ideas?

"The shoes are to be clean, white, professional duty shoes or plain, all white leather athletic shoes without logos. If laces are required, they must be white. NO athletic shoes with leather and canvas combinations are allowed. No clogs or sling back shoes are allowed. The heel and toe of the shoe must be enclosed"

this was in central campus orientation packet as a description of appropriate footwear, all of your selections seem to fit the description except for the Nike one as it does have the logo on it. I am not quite certain but thats what I intend to go off of hopefully that is acceptable.

this is how i imagined it would look:

Spring Step Shoes: Women's White Manila Slip Resistant Slip On Shoes - Women's Nursing Shoes - Women's Shoes - Footwear

All of those shoes have logos on them :((

on the older threads someone mentioned they bought the nurse mates shoes look just like the one you posted and got send home when they show up to school :(

Hi, thought I could help.

I'm in central campus. I wear nursemates doves and a majority of people wear those too. No one gave us a problem. When we were inspected for uniforms they approved. You can always personally ask the dean. One of my friends emailed her with the picture and she said yes or no. Also, they check to see if the scrub tops are from the bookstore. Just a heads up. Hey where did you purchase your shoes? Online?

I found the nurse mates brand at the uniform stores. They aren't comfortable, but everyone is different.
