Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!

patriley- thank you so much for taking your time to share this information. It's what we needed to brighten our spirits after waiting for what seems an eternity for decisions! Congratulations :) you mind me asking how easy/hard as to find a job after graduation? That's the one thing I'm really worried about- the reality of the job market. Any info you can divulge on this would be really appreciated. Thank you so much :)

Hi everyone I'm a recent BC grad and just passed the NCLEX. The program is indeed challenging, but there's a reason why the NCLEX pass rate and job's hire a BC grad. When you are done you will look back and see how everything was for a reason. I didn't even have to really review much for boards because we were trained and prepared so well. Good luck to everyone your time in the program will fly, stay focused and committed and you will be fine.

future ARNP-Best of luck with what you decide. Does your teacher use the book or notes? I can try to help you by emailing you my notes if you think that will help- PM me if you want. My teacher is Dr. O at Central and we take very detailed notes off his lecture. I do have a book, but it's just for fun :) I also have a copy of all the slides for lab if you think that will help you on the final. The slides and lab procedure are available on the PC in the tutoring centre. Let me know what you decide...just don't want you to go through the pain of this class again! :) Good luck.

I just received my license this week, but finding a job isn't as bad as it was 6-7 years ago. A lot of nurses are retiring and places are more willing to hire new grads. In your final semester at BC you take Trends, which is like an audition for what ever for you are on. I know many of the RNs on the floor I was in at Memorial came from BC and said they got the job by making contacts there in Trends. So jobs will be plentiful when you come out.

Just finished chemistry with a B, I'll take that.....it was challenging. Now on to microbiology...here is to hoping the teacher at BC is better than at FAU. Fingers crossed. Hope everyone is having a good week....I just started working out like crazy.. and I am going to Puerto Rico next week for a little vacation time before all the craziness starts. Cant wait guys!!

Congrats Gaby! Have a great vacation and good luck on micro! ;)

Hey everyone! Just came by to give an update. Looks like I'll be sitting with you all in May! I was doing great in the beginning and Professor Fola (process 1 instructor) wasn't kidding when she said "the final exam will either make you or break you" well that exam surely broke me. Didn't think I'd be re-tracking so soon in the program but it's happening, I don't want to scare anyone. Everyone takes exams differently and I know for a fact exams are not my thing; please be prepared and do not slack off. I passed clinical and I'm doing well in Pharmacology so far; in the meantime I need to figure out effect ways to successfully take these exams because I really want this! I hope this doesn't discourage any of you from applying! I look forward to meeting you all that attend North campus :) and hey I already know what to expect maybe I can be of some type of help to you later on when you begin lol Good luck!!

Hey Nelly sorry to hear u have to retrack but I'm glad you're in good spirits about it! Positive attitude is what will get u through!!! Good luck in May I know you'll do better! I don't think you've freaked any of us out about it u worded it well and handled yourself great! (unlike others in past threads) keep up the good work in your other classes!

Thank you! Just wanted to add a little advice: please aim for higher scores on the first exams because it will definitely give you leverage later on, my mistake was just aiming for the bare minimum, DO NOT BE LIKE ME! That is definitely where I messed up and this final kicked my a**

Nelly, thanks for your honesty. We all really appreciate it. Your advice will help a lot of us and it takes a brave person to admit their mistakes and move on by learning from them. I am certain you will do brilliantly in May. :)

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I was browsing the BC website, and found out that Summer registration begins March 27th. So, naturally I think we should be receiving info pretty soon maybe after Spring Break.:locktopic:

Nursing doesn't follow that. May last year registered April 17. They lock classes and you all register during one time period.

 awww. The torture !!!
