Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

I'll post a recap of what happened, especially anything regarding scholarship info or any other important things

Its a seminar about nurses for nursing students, theyre having one on each campus too. Hope its good. Its supposed to cover things like pay grade, what nurse managers expect of you etc.

Can you tell me what building and room number where it's gonna be? I would definitely want to check that out

Nursejackie.... Apply!!!! what class are you in? I have been going to see an advisor like twice a semester during all pre reqs. This is just from my experience everyone gets told differently so....

They will have seats they dont have as many applicants as they used to. go to advisement ask for the advisor specifically for nursing (not the nursing admissions). Then you will hear her advisement which will be to do the required testing like vaccines physicals and background checks. This is so you are ready to start on time because you will miss orientation. remember it is open until all seats are filled or classes begin. They cant tell you only one week left sorry no entrance.

Also if it is HCP001 that your still in, the nurse admissions will accept your app while you are still in the class.

Its gonna be from 12:30-1:30 in bulding 5 Rm 103 at central today.

I wish I could go to the seminar but I have class at that same exact time, but maybe I will miss and go lol. Is anyone familiar with the days we will be going to school once we start in May and also does anyone know the exact day we start? Also I want to go get my physical done but I don't know if I have to wait until we get accepted to get it done or not. I have so many questions and so little answers lol.

The summer classes for process 1 and 2 are Monday & Fridays. You can see them if you go through the regular registration process and search for the classes. That seminar that central is having today will also be at all the campuses. I'm going to the one at north campus on April 8th

yes u can start ur physicals and background checks early. i have done everything already and just waiting now.

Does anyone know if you can get a loan for the summer classes while in the program. I know general summer classes are usually not covered but I have heard that if you're in a program the terms change. What's everyone's plan? I have been paying out of pocket so far and I'm so lost with how the process works
