Broward College Nursing May 2014

Published

Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

Went to central seminar, most of what they talked about is info most people already knew.

one good piece of info though is that LPN transition will only be at south campus this term they rotate every term.

oh my god...so does ANYONE have ANY more information on when we will know if we got accepted???

Yeah, it was definitely more for people who aren't sure that they want to become nurses and what it takes. I did find the sample schedule very helpful though- its an estimated 50 hours a week to put into nursing school!!!

I have been in contact with Nicole Howell from Nursing admissions at north campus, they were trying to send out the decisions last week, but nothing yet. I emailed her again just this morning.

Eveisevil, really? Wow, i just may apply. Im in statistics now, which is the last area 5 Math I need and then im done with all pre-reqs!!!

I agree with everyone else, the lady who did the speaking was kinda kooky and funny but it really was for someone who had like no clue what the nursing profession was about. The schedule was helpful like aprilj1985 said. I think I was sitting behind you and to your right, lol. They're having some other meeting April 17 too to discuss admission stuff for nursing gonna go to that too and see whatsup.

Hi All, where can i find information about what type of physical and background check the program needs?

if you go to the FAQ page it has the link to all the forms. I did the background check in Plantation off 5th street and 441 next to the hospital, that's where the school sends us. The results come back in like 3days and they immediately send the results to the school. The person who receives the background results is Quettie Delsion at the downtown office. Physicals, there is also a link to the form which u bring to the physician and they fill it out. the place for the fingerprinting is statutory fingerprinting and notary services and there is also an online background check in addition to that one, you register with certifiedbackground.com and there is a code in the forms from BC that you put in and pay the fee and they run the background check based on the specifics listed by the school. very quick and easy.

Anyone else feeling like today might be the day?! Lol

I hope today is the day!!!! Crossing my fingers lol

I hope we get some good news today it's about time.

I will try to only check twice today instead of every 10 min lol
