Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Nursing Process Home Page

this site seems to be an old professors resources for Process I & II. I went through it awhile ago but as I continue to read on the forums what we need to learn its starting to make sense.

I started reading some chapters from Potter/Perry Fundamentals and read the whole Jarvis Physical Examination/Assessment and under link on the website there are pdfs for vital signs, health assessment, documentation, nursing process, hygeine, and safety under Nursing process I Lecture slides. There seems to be a lot of overlap with information and it seems for most things you need to memorize but be able to think critically and creatively about the memorized information.

Again this is from North Campus and don't know if this is for an active professor. But, I don't think much of the information we need changes from year to year just seems the order and certain areas to focus on depend on campus and professor

Has anyone seen anything about professor sites or have links to active sites from friends in the program. Let me know what you think, but while I'm waiting I'm going to be reading so the stuff isn't brand new

Thanxs. Glad to know I wasn't single on this one lol. I was patient from the beginning but now I'm feeling the same way everyone else is. I wanna know! Lol

Mine still says denied- transcripts not evaluated. Even thoough right under it it says my transcripts were evaluated in februay and I dont have any points awarded. Lol I give up. Ill wait for the email

This is getting ridiculous. Last year they found out on 2/15.. I understand it's now open ended and may it change the time frame but were about a month and a half out and we need to do all of our physicals and background checks. What about the people that have to quit their jobs and put notices in. come on BC get it together.

I made about thirty calls to finally get to the supervisor who said next Friday everyone will have been notified definitely, let's hope we don't hear any different. I'm grateful for my job which I go away on the weekends so it will keep me patient and busy until Tuesday evening and I won't be tempted to check and obsess. I would hate to put out all this energy and not get in so I am changing my mentality and just being patient and hopeful. I hope we all get in on this tread and can start obsessing about tests and clinicals lol. Have a great weekend guys:)
