Broward College Nursing January 2016

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

I wanted to know I am going to be taking Mac 1105 in the winter. I wanted to know if it will be too late to apply for the lpn to rn for May the class ends on April 06.

I finished up my ce courses yesterday but before I turn them in for the osha there were two courses, one said just osha and the other one said osha infection control? I did the one that said just osha. is that fine?

I just turned it in, the one I did was called osha blood borne pathogens or something and it was fine

Please remember that all your paperwork gets turned into the Program Office on the campus you are registered on. It does not get turned into Health Science Admissions or another campuses program office.

What is the text we are suppose to start reading before classes start

I already started reading my Fundamentals of Nursing textbook. I heard it was recommended because we will be tested on the first 12 chapters I believe by the 3rd week of school. Don't quote me on that, just what I heard! Rather be safe than sorry :)

Did you buy the bundle with like 6 books ?

No I didn't Before they told us they made a bundle I had already bought a lot of the books so it didn't make sense for me to

Hi, I'm new to this thread, just curious what is the difference between the Generic and Lpn-Rn program. Is there a major difference.

I would go see Nicole or Jessica in admissions on central because they are the ones that handle that. If you go back to October of this forum I think she answered when the cutoff for May was. Hope this helps.
