Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?
Honestly between lecture, practicing for return demo and clinical assignments, pharm, studying for the math exams you will be extremely busy. I didn't work and I'd say about 6-8 hours every day ( not counting time spent in school). I made school my first priority and put my social life on hold. If i did it so can you !! which campus are you at?
Blood pressure cuff isn't required but you can purchase one if you'd like to practice at home. This is one of the skills you'll have to master in your return demo and some clinical instructors require you to take manual blood pressures every time in the hospital (even if the hospital has the automatic ones).Professors are known to switch things around from semester to semester so be weary, but when I had Process I these were the topics on Test 1:
Hygiene
Vital Signs
Health Assessment
Documentation
Nursing Process
Safety
Hello,
Im attending North also, you mentioned above a few things that were on your first exam..from which books or book are these from? Thank you!
Futurenurse626,
I will be attending the North campus. I'm also lucky enough to not need to work while in school. It's good to have an idea of what my days schedule will be! Any more advice on anything to do with the first week / semester of the BC program? I'm as ready as can be but still so on edge!
