Broward College nursing fall 2018

Hi! I know it's pretty early to start a thread for fall but I just wanted to see somewhat of what other people have in their classes and HESI. I have to retake the anatomy portion of the test but everything else I passed, and I have a GPA of 3.18. Also, I was in another nursing program before this and didn't do so well because of what was going on in my life during that time. Do you think this will be a big issue regarding getting in??

Lucky you congrats that is the highest number of points so you shouldn't have a problem at all being accepted. I'm still waiting on mine if I calculated correctly I have a 3.5 so I am praying that I get accepted . Best of luck to you.

So glad to see a forum for the fall program. I applied around the week of May 7 and am anxiously waiting for my application status to be updated, I just want to see some points already :(

Hi everyone,

Just a few reminders:

We have 30 BUSINESS days to get our decisions out, not calendar days. The deadline is not June 15. 30 business days puts our deadline around June 28.

* Emails went out to everyone who submitted an application confirming we received it. No need to email and ask if we have your application. I have delivery confirmations for everyone so I know they were delivered. If you have not seen it, check ALL your folders. Sometimes our emails go to clutter.

* If you see your application fee on your account, we have your application. You do not need to email us to confirm we have it.

The more emails we receive asking to reconfirm we have your application, the longer it will take for decisions to go out. We love hearing from you but we are trying to get everyone updated so decisions can be sent.

Applications are not updated in any particular order so please do not email and say your friends points are updated but yours aren't. They will be updated before decisions are made.

To calculate your GPA, you add up the number of points and divide by the number of credit hours. The only courses used are ENC1101, BSC2085, BSC2085L, BSC2086 and BSC2086L. Math is not included in the GPA.

For 3 credit courses, A=12 points, B=9 points and C=6 points. For 1 credit courses, A=4 points, B=3 points and C=2 points. The number of credit hours you are dividing by is 11.

What really kills me is my application says it is in review and has checkmarks but I know it only appears that way cause I put nursing as my major (as previously stated by nichole) I am very thankful for her posts on here, if not I would of thought something was wrong and I sure thought it was 30 calendar days lol Thank you Nichole for clearing everything up and keeping us as sane as possible

The best advice I can give you guys is don't check your email or status constantly. You will make yourself crazy. Even when decisions go out, you have about a week to respond.

Also don't listen to other students (no offense). The majority of what is said is wrong and it will make you crazy thinking something is wrong with your app.
