Hi! I know it's pretty early to start a thread for fall but I just wanted to see somewhat of what other people have in their classes and HESI. I have to retake the anatomy portion of the test but everything else I passed, and I have a GPA of 3.18. Also, I was in another nursing program before this and didn't do so well because of what was going on in my life during that time. Do you think this will be a big issue regarding getting in??

Hi! I turned in my application last week so I'm happy to see that you started this thread
A 3.18 is a pretty solid GPA, whats your overall HESI score now? I've read on here before that they prioritize students GPA's when choosing who will get in the program... the HESI is more of an overall requirement and a tie-breaker if there's a few people left with the same GPA.
CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR BACK IN MAY!!!

I went to an information session yesterday and the dean was there. She stated that if you were previously in a nursing program but withdrew you have no problem. But if you have any fails on your record they will not accept you.
May is when the applications close. They have 30 days to process the applications so most like won't hear anything until mid-June.
I took the HESI yesterday and I'm getting super excited! I'm finishing Anatomy 2 this semester and then I can apply. I can't wait!!
Oh ok, thank you for that info :) and congrats on finishing with the HESI, such a relief!

I took my HESI yesterday too and submitted my application today hoping for the best. Best of luck on your classes do you happen to know any books to start reading ahead
Thank you! It was quite the task yesterday but I did it. The testing center lost internet when I was 30 minutes into it (supposedly it was the whole campus). It took an hour and a half for it to come back up, and then I only had an hour and a half to basically do the whole test before the testing center closed! I luckily finished in time and got a good score.
Question: So Broward only really cares if you pass, right? Would there be a point in going to take it again if I got a good score? Because of the outage and how long it was, they gave us a voucher to retake it if we want, but since I did okay I feel like I shouldnt even bother.
Awesome!! I submitted mine a few weeks ago so we're all on the same boat lol. And no, unfortunately I don't know about the books just yet.
Thank you. I dont know off the top of my head, but I remember seeing a few names in some of the other forums about Broward. Take a look around.

Oh noooooo, I'm so sorry about that! That made a stressful situation even more stressful lol. I'm glad you did well. And honestly, all they care about is you passing, but if you're unhappy with your score and have the money to retake it, that's up to you.
oh my God you were there too when that happen i was there too and they literally had to come get me out of my chair in order for me to leave it made no sense I didnt answer like 10 questions and I still had time left I felt so bad man I was mad at the same time she also gave me a voucher to retake the test i mean that big school without internet connection the devil is a liar i did pretty good mysel but i could of get a higher score on the math
