This thread was created for those attending Broward College North Campus in January 2011! We got accepted....let's do this:hpygrp:!!

Same here-still feel like I'm playing catch up.

Would like to get to a place where I feel like I'm a bit ahead. Hopefully, that will come soon.:o

Hey guys-

The first week is hard. It's VERY overwhelming. So many things going on at once- trying to find a balance, trying to get adjusted, trying to stay ahead, trying to figure nursing school out, etc. etc. But stay strong. Trust me, you are not alone. Every other person in your class is feeling the same way. Its a long road ahead, but it will get better (not easier, just more manageable). No other class has as much reading as NP1 and NP2, plus you will not have to deal with pharm after 1st semester. Hang in there :)

THANK YOU, Sunraygirl, for always being so supporting and encouraging!! :yeah:

hi everyone, I went to BHD to get the MMR, Varicella, and HepB titter today and find out that they don't do the titers but only vacines, anyways I went to LabDoctors which is very close on 1425 SE 17 caseway, Fort Lauderdale, and guest what, they are just the BEST, I had the MMR, Varicella, HepB, Tb tests, and physical for about $200.00, if I'll need the vacines also the price looks very like to BHD, and their nurse and customer service is just like I already sad "the BEST", they made everything so easy, I was there for just short time and we already were as a family, I am so happy to find them out and I hope you all have this experience when you'll need.

Hello! I am just waiting on titer results now too! I didn't check prices other places, but I just got my stethoscope, light pen, and scissors today at Uniform Advantage on Commercial and 18th ave in Fort Lauderdale. It cost me 27 dollars! I thought that was a pretty good price. I got my shoes from Finish Line for 53 dollars!

Hi Sunnraygurl, I am starting the program this friday. How did you manage all the reading? I am trying to figure out how to study smart and manage my time. Did you read the chapters and make notes answering the objectives, then go to lecture and integrate all notes together? Or did you just read, highlight according to objectives, go to lecture and then make notes? I am wondering what is the best way to study. Typing into a word document the answers before the lecture is taking me so much time and I am not sure if it is the best way to approach the material. Any suggestions?
