Broward College North Campus January 2011

Published

This thread was created for those attending Broward College North Campus in January 2011! We got accepted....let's do this:hpygrp:!!

i'm taking math online and my schedule says we start on the 10th which is the first monday of the term. but i'm going to check in to blackboard starting tomorrow just in case prof. brickman puts it on early. remember that your email address and password are your sign in on blackboard, not your bc school id. ;)

The only thing I haven't bought on the Hesi books....I hope we don't need them. lol

The Hesi is listed as two items on our book list however, it is packaged all in one. Practice test is listed on front and the online case studies are on the back.

Thanks for the info on the Hesi...I think I am going to wait until we meet on friday and see if I need it. It's a little more than what I wanted to pay.. I also need to get my modules which I figured I get at that time as well....

Went to school today and sold back my chem, a&p 1, and a&p 2 book and got $166!!! :D Holy cow! It would have been nice to keep it but I had two more books to get.... I decided not to get the math book because I heard from a lot of people that we don't end up using it....

Have you logged onto blackboard yet?

Lots of information and good idea to get familiar with before tomorrow.;)

I just did!! I hope everyone is ready..I am getting my modules tomorrow after class and getting glued to the book!

So what is the consensus on the Hesi? Do we need it or not?

Mrs ******** did not come right out and say whether or not we definitely needed it.

From what she said, I understood that it's not 100% needed but it's great to use for studying.. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

For now I am not going to get it. If we needed later on than I will. I am trying to save as much as I can.

How is everyone managing their time? I just read the whole vital signs chapter, did the objectives, and did the review question in 3 books..I am exhausted and I haven't even read my skills book yet??

I spent about 4 hrs yesterday reading/highlighting answering critical thinking exercise and nclex review questions.

Today I'm going to read the skills book chap 5/highlight and maybe do the chap32 study guide questions. I'll see how long that takes. Right now it's a matter of getting organized and figuring out how much work we have to put into this to get the grade we want.

Pharm is going to have it's own time requirements because of the amount of memorizing required to know the meds.

When do you have Math? My class is on Thursday.

All in all it's very doable-especially since my boys just went back to college. I get my study area back.:)
