This thread was created for those attending Broward College North Campus in January 2011! We got accepted....let's do this:hpygrp:!!
Hi everyone! So excited to get started! I was looking for some of the books already online and pricing everything out. It looks like it is going to be around 400 dollars if you buy all the books on the list that are mandatory. That doesn't include the ones they recommend you buy. So you will save approx. 140 dollars give or take if you buy online! Food for thought!
Just found this from last semester...I assume we will receive a similar letter:

Hello! I will be starting North Campus in January too :-) I'm very excited!!
When I looked at the pdf of the book package that the bookstore offers, a lot of the names of the book say with e-book after it. Do you know if that's something we definitely need? And if you order online through Amazon, if they have the e-books with the regular book? When I was looking on Amazon it didn't say anything about e-books...

Yay for North Campus!!! :-)
From what I have read...it doesn't seem like you get E-books if you buy them somewhere else. I don't think you need it unless you plan to read from a computer of ipod. I personally read better from a book where I can highlight!

Yes, I prefer a physical book also. I just didn't know if that was something that they required. Some of my classes have books that come with cds that have extra things like practice quizes, games or other programs. Maybe I will email the teacher and see what she says. That way if it is something necessary, we don't end up buying the wrong thing and paying even more money!

I'm also at North:yeah: although for a little while there it looked like I was going to have to go to Central.
They didn't have Pharm available for North at 930 (had a must attend mtg at 8am for child) plus I had to go in to registration to get holds taken off -so when I went to register after the holds were taken off lo and behold there it was-the North classes were all available:up: Thank God for that. He orders our steps.:)

Hey everyone! I registered for North this morning and it said that I registered for one of my classes at a different campus even though I used all of the ref #'s that they gave us for north and everything on the screen said north... did anyone else have this problem? I don't want to get dropped from my classes. Oh and of course I sent an email but it has not been replied to...
Its supposed to say that because 2 of the Labs say "Hospital"
