Broward College May 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi guys!! Haven't seen any threads for May 2018 so I figured why not start one!! I just submitted my application for Broward's May 2018 LPN-RN program so anxiously waiting for the deadline. While I wait I'm attending Keiser to retake A&P 1 and lab to boost grade up! What's everyone doing to pass the time?

anyone have points yet?

Hi chrisieefaithhc! I turned in my application in person. The morning I went in they had a department meeting so they didn't get there until almost 9. I was waiting since a little before 8 so once they realized that, they processed it right away. Maybe they felt bad lol. I was given 12 points. I'm so excited but this waiting game is enough to make you cuckoo for cocoa puffs! :)

Where did you submit it?

I went to the Health Science Admissions Office at central campus. It's in Building 8.

awesome, thanks

I don't have anything showing up on my limited access page. Should I have points by now? I turned my application in last week.

I think they will start updating points after the deadline passes

Just took the Hesi, 94% Math, 88% Grammar, 86% Vocab, 86.67% Reading, 72% Anatomy, 85.2% Overall. Anyone have any study guide that they used for the anatomy section? That was the only section I was worried about because its been a while since I took anatomy.

I used the HESi book from Elsevier. Its a small book and I got it off amazon for like $20. I took it a little over a week ago and got an 88 on the anatomy and a 94 overall. I took both anatomy 1 and 2 in the past year and still found it to be difficult to study for. Besides the joints, muscles, and heart, I thought the questions were tough and I don't think anything i studied really prepared me. Keep doing some free practice questions online and go over the book from Elsevier.

Points are updated!!!

Hi Fishissalty,

I also used the HESI book from Elsevier but found that you cannot rely only on that because it doesn't cover everything you need. The test is a little more detailed in my opinion. Quizlet was very helpful for me...I used as many of their flashcards as I could find. I also googled "Hesi A2 anatomy practice" and found many helpful sites. Also, I came across this post from somebody who had taken the HESI and was offering pointers on specifically what to study:

Hi guys sorry haven't been on for a few days. My transcripts were finally evaluated! Tomorrow is the deadline. I can't wait to find out about when we get in!! I've been trying since 2015 and I feel like this is definitely my year lol. Anyone points update?
