Broward College May 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi guys!! Haven't seen any threads for May 2018 so I figured why not start one!! I just submitted my application for Broward's May 2018 LPN-RN program so anxiously waiting for the deadline. While I wait I'm attending Keiser to retake A&P 1 and lab to boost grade up! What's everyone doing to pass the time?

I was told the same, thanks!

I got a quick question, is it THAT competitive to get into the program at BC, i'm finishing my pre-reqs and going to take the HESI on Feb 13th so I can apply for the summer term. I feel that I can get in, the HESI seems pretty straightforward. The hardest part for me right now is AP2.

Is your AP2 completed? I don't think they will accept the application without the grades for that class. But yes it's very competitive. The advisor at north said the lowest GPA to be accepted was a 3.09. However the Hesi wasn't bad. Just make sure you know your basic math and conversions. Know your reading and grammar as well.

Hey, Mponz87

How did your Hesi go? Were you able to submit the scores?

Kiverson001 Did you apply to the program yet?

I did very well on it. 94% over all. Way easier than I thought it was going to be. I'm going into north campus today to finish my application and talk to an advisor. I heard the person that normally advises for the nursing program isn't there anymore. I wanted to get info on the books to get started.

Yes I applied in October so this wait is a killer lol.

Really? I'm not too sure on who was there so I don't know.

Read ahead, the book is Fundmentals of Nursing Perry and Potter, the latest edition i think is 9? maybe 10? check amazon. and plan to quit your job. I have attached our syllabus from when i started. not sure how much has changed but it should have the reading materials on it. Also go buy "Adaptive Quizzing" on Adaptive Quizzing | Elsevier Evolve for the LATEST perry and potter book and do them right after you read your chapters

I wish someone would have told me this a long time ago before i started.

Wow thanks so much!!! Are you still in the program or have u graduated? I feel really confident about getting accepted this go around!!

Thank you so much for your help!

I finish this summer. I had to withdraw 3 times. And if I could do it all over again, I would have done a BSN 12 month elsewhere since I have my BS in biology and math already. Good luck.
