Broward College May 2017

Published

Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.

what school doesn't transfer?

Ok because I heard that it wasn't going to transfer over and be considered an equivalent retake and I would rather go to University of Phoenix because it is significantly cheaper than Keiser. I'm kind of stuck now I am unsure what to do....

University of Phoenix

Yes Nichole stated they were if it is equivalent to Broward courses.

Good morning all:

What I said was:

Yes. Just be sure the course you take is equivalent to BC's courses. You can check with academic advising to ensure the course will transfer in.

Before taking any class at a private university, you need to verify two things:

1. that we accept credits from that school

2. the course you are taking will come in as equivalent to the course you want to replace the grade in.

In no way, did I say, or guarantee, courses would be accepted from the private schools. All I stated was that we did accept credits from private schools (Barry, Keiser, NSU, St Thomas, Univ of Phoenix, etc). You will want to meet with your academic advisor (or one of the four advisors on the email you received if you were not accepted for January) to see if the coursework would replace the class you are trying to improve.

We do accept credits from University of Phoenix. I have had students retake courses there.

You will want to check and see if the course you want to take will come in to replace the course you currently have.

Ok perfect ! Thank you so much Nichole.

Good morning guys! For those of you that are looking to retake a class at university of Phoenix I just finished speaking to a rep who informed me that to take AP2 (I forgot to ask about AP1, sorry), will be $1780 and a one time application fee of $45 totaling to $1825. The classes are 7 weeks and are 4 credits. They have a class starting 10/25/16. And another class starting 11/29/16 which ends 01/30/17. Oh and Nichole is correct, the credits from university of Phoenix DOES TRANSFER to BC. After speaking with an advisor on north campus yesterday I found out unlike with keiser the class retaken at university of Phoenix will only be transferred as lecture, not lecture and lab. Hope this helps some of you!

you weren't able to get a discount price like the other one on here?

no. She did ask if I had any military background but I don't. I think that might be the only discount they have but I'm not sure

Which class are you taking there if you don't mind me asking.

No they give MANY different discounts. I received a discount for being affiliated with my current employer.
