Broward College May 2017

Published

Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.

Highlyfavored31,

Do you know when the next time the A&P course will be offered? I was just thinking maybe I can take the other one before the 2/1 deadline. Gives me time to save a little $.

I doubt I'll start Monday as well, too quick not enough time to save. Um...I believe she said Nov 14 or 21st

Ask to speak with paul barry. He is my adviser. she was just rude lol you are allowed to do that and still get assistance from them.

Is he at the Fort Lauderdale campus? Yes, her face immediately changed once I basically was like I'm not paying anything yet bc I'm rethinking this now. But I get it, that's their job. With your online classes, do you have to go in for tests? or do you ever need to go to the actual campus?

Thank you ! I just left the Miami campus now cause thats the one closest to me. Guys if you have prepaid college you can use that ! I did just because I don't have the money to pay out of pocket. If I have to get loans later on then I will but for now I used what I had. Classes start next week already ! I registered for it online so hopefully its not HARD ! I told them all I wanted was to take that class. Nothing else they tried to scare me and told me they didn't think BC would accept the class so I just wanted to make sure ! I'm hoping for an A both lab and class so my gpa can go up ! If you guys have any questions or need any help I am here! :) and for those taking the class as well I know we might not have same professor but we can help each other out ! email : [email protected] GOODLUCK ! MAY IS OURSSSSSSS !

I might start Monday, I'm still deciding, online as well! Good Luck!!!

whats the pre reqs for palm beach state?

Pre reqs are Chemistry CHM1023, Anatomy and physiology 1 BSC2085 with the LAB and DEP2004 which is human growth and development

The co-reqs, which I recommend having before you apply because it gives you more points is Anatomy 2 with lab BSC2086, Microbiology with lab MCB2010, English 1 ENC1101, Statistics STA2023, General Psychology PSY2012, and a humanities class so any fine arts or literature class, then if you take a class at the school it will give you one extra point it is called Critical thinking of nursing its NUR1024, or you can do the Patient Care assistant/CNA program and it is 3 and a half months it is done before the next nursing app is due by june 1,2017 that program is 2,000 dollars though, verses the class which is 330, but that class will take you a full term and wont be done before the program. Then comes into play your GPA, lets say you have a 3.2 you will get 3.2 points added to the application. You will also get 1 point if you have 29 credits or more, or 2 points if you have 30 or more, if you get the CNA at PBSC you will get 3 points, if you have a bachelors already you will get 4 points, masters 5, So out of all the classes I listed for anatomy 2 with lab you will recieve 3 points, micro 3 points, english I 1 point, Humanities 1 point, Psychology 1 point, and statistics 1 point. Then they calculate your HESI you have to have at least an 80 or higher on math and the cummulative. So, if you get 80-85 cummulative you get 7 points if you have 86-90 8 points, 91-95 9 points, 96-100 you get the full 10 points. You can get a total of 30, people usually get in with 22.08 or higher at Bell Glade campus. For lake worth its usually 23 or higher sometimes they will let in high 22 points but every year is different it just depends on the applicant pool. Of course it is a two year program and it costs about 7,642 for the full two years. I hope I wasn't confusing and I hope this helps.

But for palm beach state your gpa would be based off of the classes they ask for only or based off of your overall undergrad coursework ?

yessss i have accepted that i will be broke for a while but it will be well wortj it.

Sicilib,

Thank you so much! I will do that. I need to get the ball rolling. I really want to get into the nursing program. I have to make sacrifices and save $ for the course. Goodbye junk food and clothes lol

yes he is ft.lauderdale. alot of those advisers are crooks. thankfully i found mine. online is strictly online, you never have to go on the actual campus.
