Anyone else palnning on applying for May 2011. Im currently in the process of transferring back to broward and I am planning on applying for May. I have all my pre-reqs done and I already took and passed the HESI, and I also have HOSA so I think I may be in a good position(fingers crossed). I just need to take Micro & I plan on taking that in the winter term. If anyone can recommend a teacher I would greatly appreciate it.
was the hesi test hard? what did you study off EXACTLY to pass it? what is the point ssystem like?
The hesi wasn't hard... I used my old anatomy book and brushed up on all the systems... There is a hesi review book that's really good to use for the math and vocabulary. The point system is based on your gpa... I think they have it listed on the broward nursing website. For example, I had a 3.7 so I had 13 points plus one for being a broward resident, which gave me a total of 14 points.
If you did your certificates on ceufast.com did you guys find the TB/OSHA/HEP one? I see separate ones for TB and HEP but not the 6 hour course were supposed to haveThank you
The TB/HEP C are two hours each. The OSHA is 4 hours. U will find not OSHA under that name on on ceufast.com. It is "Infecton Control and Barrier Precaution". That is what the nursing dept is accepting.
Does anybody know what we wear on May 10th, i went to the book store and they told me not to buy the Polos that nobody wears them. Do we wear our scrubs that day?
I am 99% positive we have to wear our scrubs on the first day of class. Has anyone signed into blackboard and received any messages or assignments from the profs ? Thanks
If you are going to north campus you do not have to wear your scrubs the first day..If you go to professor brickman's website http://webhome.broward.edu/~gbrickma/calendars.htm & read the welcome letter it states we do not have to wear them until may 17
