Anyone else palnning on applying for May 2011. Im currently in the process of transferring back to broward and I am planning on applying for May. I have all my pre-reqs done and I already took and passed the HESI, and I also have HOSA so I think I may be in a good position(fingers crossed). I just need to take Micro & I plan on taking that in the winter term. If anyone can recommend a teacher I would greatly appreciate it.

I think the e-books are a waste of money and time. It will take more time to flip through the "e-pages" than it will to flip through a real book. I keep all my books in my car anyways and carry only what I need. Maybe I'm just old fashioned but I also like the smell of books

Yeah, I am kind of torn. The idea of having them for reference is nice, but usually I like flipping through pages and having it in hand.

Do we start class mon 5-9 or tues 5-10

tuesday the 10th which is the first day of class

you dont need a book for Pharm

I'm in process two, and wanted to give my opinions about the books. I LOVE my ebooks. I don't even use the hard copies. You don't move from page to page, just scroll down. I also like being able to search for what I'm looking for.

You don't need the pharm book. He gives you everything you need in handouts/powerpoints. I didn't use the medical dictionary, I just google anything I don't know. You definitely need the drug book/lab book though. I strongly recommend the Sauder's NCLEX study guide, which isn't listed.

If you have any time now, get a head start on reading. The first test contains a huge amount of info. Pick up the objectives in the bookstore and as you read, start completing the objectives. She tests directly from the objectives - but in a broad sense.

The objectives is the paperback "book" from BCC ? Thanks

It's like a packet that is wrapped in plastic - not bound. Very important! The bookstore didn't give it to me, I had to go the first day of class and buy it. Oh, by the way, I attend North Campus, not sure about the others.

The drug book is Davis's Comprehensive Handbook of Laboratory and Diagnostic Tests with Nursing Implications. Third edition.

Does anyone know where we ate suppose to turn in our folders?

Where?

They are due the 27th and at the main office in building 8. I turned mine in yesterday and received a email stating that my physical is not complete , my M.D must have left something out.

Did anyone buy the paperback version of our books listed on the booklist?
