Anyone else palnning on applying for May 2011. Im currently in the process of transferring back to broward and I am planning on applying for May. I have all my pre-reqs done and I already took and passed the HESI, and I also have HOSA so I think I may be in a good position(fingers crossed). I just need to take Micro & I plan on taking that in the winter term. If anyone can recommend a teacher I would greatly appreciate it.

I have 3 of the required books for North Campus for sale:

1. Castillo- Strategies, Techniques, and Approaches to Thinking: Case Studies in Clinical Nursing, 4th ed

2. Deglin- Davis Drug Guide for Nurses, 12th Ed.

3. Van Leeuwen- Davis's Comprehensive Handbook of Laboratory & Diagnostic Tests with Nursing Implications 3rd ed.

All the books are new. I will take a loss and sell the 3 together for $70, private message me if you're interested.

A few people have said laptops aren't allowed in classes

They allow them at North Campus. I Am finishing up Process 2 now and a few people use them. Also, you don't have to take any books to class. It's up to you but they won't be ask for them.

Does anyone know what else is required for the first day of class besides wearing our scrubs ? What books do/should we bring in ? Any help would be appreciated.

Also, has anyone received the syllabus for any of the courses ?

I heard we don't wear our scrubs... If you look on the welcome sheet it says don't wear scrubs until may 17th, but about the books or anything else... Maybe it's best to call them about that.

If you are going to North Campus, the first few days are spent listening to lectures about how to fail out of the program. Don't need books, just a pen to sign in and maybe a snack/lunch.

I am pretty sure we are supposed to, if anything wear your scrubs and just bring an extra set of clothing if your not sure.

I received a email stating to wear full scrubs on May 10th and should be in class at 830am.

in the welcome letter it says regular clothes and bring a jacket if we are normally cold. May 17th is when north is required to wear scrubs.
