Broward College May 2011

Published

Anyone else palnning on applying for May 2011. Im currently in the process of transferring back to broward and I am planning on applying for May. I have all my pre-reqs done and I already took and passed the HESI, and I also have HOSA so I think I may be in a good position(fingers crossed). I just need to take Micro & I plan on taking that in the winter term. If anyone can recommend a teacher I would greatly appreciate it.

To those who are wondering, blackboard opens tomorrow. I emailed our professor and was informed by her, as well as the help center at central. See you guys tomorrow !

Where exactly is our class tomorrow? I can't find a room number.

In the email I received...

"NUR 1020L starts on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 meeting in Building #8, 232 at 0830 and Wednesday, May 11, 2011 meeting in Building #8, room 232"

830? The file on the NP website says 730 on May 10. I'm going to call up the nursing department and verify. Thanks for responding!

And on the schedule it says 630, regardless, I'll be there at 730. Let us know what they say Mel, thanks !

I wrote to the professor to see if I get the same response as you... The dean's office said if there isn't anything listed directly on the professor's website, go to room 224 and they'd make sure we got to the correct room.

Have you checked your BCC email ? The room and time I posted came directly from an email I received in my BCC inbox from the prof.

I haven't received any e-mails from the program since the welcome information/background and health check in April. I hope someone else responds saying they got an e-mail as well so I can see if I get knocked off the list somehow and get it fixed tomorrow.

Yes, I would get that checked out, I have received numerous emails from BCC not only from the program but just general information.

Alright so does anyone know what time were really supposed to get there at lol? And how to get the check off list? The only attachment i got was for our certificates. Is our portfolios just the sames as what we turned into the nursing department?

I just got this e-mail from our professor:

Room 224, Building 41, North campus.

See you in the morning.

Gregg Brickman

No time, but since the welcome letter says 730, I'm getting there at 730.

what all do you plan on bringing to lab at central tomorrow she never said anything about which books to bring

Hello, all, I'm a re-track from the Janurary semester, so I'm taking NUR1020L again this semester (passed everything else fine, messed up the return demo).

I go to Central, so just wanted to clear up some questions for those others who also go there. No, you are not allowed computers in class. Shoes must be all white, with no holes, and must have backs- no canvas/leather combos. The lab coat is required for any visible tattoos (although I was allowed to wear band aids to cover them instead if I wanted, so if you want to do that, you should ask your instructor).

The class is 6 weeks long, which means it's two weeks shorter than it normally is. Lots of work!! Good luck and study hard, everyone!
