Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

Do you guys think we should start getting books now or wait for orientation? I just want to be sure I'm getting the right stuff.

its the castillo strategies book. im renting some, going to buy the others.

started awhile ago. the vitals and physical assessment chapters are no joke.

checked a few different websites...

barnes and noble: around $240 to rent or buy all yhe books needed.

amazon: around the same

bookrenter: they don't have all of the books. both perry books are around $14.00-$17.00 to rent for the semester.

for anyone at north, the dean said we would need the editions listed, but we could use electronic books as long as we had them for class.

I still haven't received an email about the actual nursing orientation, anyone have this problem? I went to bldg 8 at Central campus yesterday to turn in my portfolio and at the time they said emails were being sent out yesterdsy.

When you rent your books, how do you get the access codes? Im guessing when you rented it doesn't come with them.
