Broward College May 2016 RN program

Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

Also in some books the editions are different from the book list that we have in our schedule classes and the email with the book list that we got (south campus) so which one is it?

For example, for the book Fluids and Electrolytes in the schedule book list it say we should get edition 5, but in the email it says edition 6....

I haven't received the email either for central campus orientation. :(

north didnt give us a booklist. i went off of what it said to get for my class schedule using the online bookstore.

When you rent your books, how do you get the access codes? Im guessing when you rented it doesn't come with them.

no it doesn't. but elselvier doesnt require an access code for you to use their resources for their books. you just need an account.

Which book do we have to order for the Medical Surge? The BC website lists 3. Do we need all 3 or..?

not sure! barnes and noble rents them for 160 days at:

med surg textbook $28.52 (89.00 to buy)

med surg clinical $11.47

med surg study guide $7.80

are you guys renting or buying most of your books? im going to email the pharm and math professor to see if the ebooks would be acceptable to use.

has anyone handed in their paperwork yet? I have to wait to get the varicella vaccine,because the NP messed up and wouldn't give me both live vaccines on the same day. campus dean said it would be ok she understood but im still worried about it. :( i had everything else done so its frustrating ugh

I have everything done but I haven't turned it in yet because it said to turn them in after the 25th

The book list is on your schedule. When you click on view schedule you can also click on buy books for this schedule and it will tell you all this is required.
