Broward College May 2016 RN program

Published

Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

Hi everyone,

Did anyone received the email with all the forms and the individual emails from each campus?

I remember she said the deadline to give the folder with all the forms and the campus orientation would come on the individual email each campus would send. I haven't received anything yet. I'm almost done with my CEU courses, I did them through ceufast. But the CPR I could only find on the 16th at Broward. My physical will be on Friday.

I'm just worried about this deadline.

Help! Just wanted to 100% clarify that CEUFast is ok to take the courses, right? Also, for the HIV Aids I see the 1 hour or the 4 hours Aids/HIV Current evidence based practice. Which one of these is correct?

The 4hr one.

nicole said the emails would be sent after everyones status had been changed, because the deans of each campus cant send out the emails until they recieve a list of accepted students.

Do they change the status only after the folder with all the certificates and forms are received? Because mine is still saying pre-admission.

So for the Hep b, we don't have to get the titer or vax, right? If we sign the hep b portion then we are declining the vax and that's ok, right? Or do we have to get the titer anyway? Sorry ladies, a little confused and I have my appt this afternoon.

Just an update:

We are in the process of changing everyone's status. It is done manually and takes time to process all 200 of you. The more phone calls and emails we receive asking about the emails, the slower the process goes. Once everyone's status is changed, we will be sending out our email and the program offices will be sending out their emails.

Please be patient.

Nichole

I'm pretty sure you cannot decline HEP B or the FLU shot. You will want to make sure with the program office.

Ok just wondering because on the physical form, each illness has a spot to fill in the titer completed and that's it. But for hep b it says "by signing this form I decline vax for hep b." I will call and ask. Thank you!

Hi, May i ask where youre going? My PCP is booked for appts until May so I need to find another location for my physical. Thx

i believe one of the deans said we need all of them, because hospitals are requiring them, and if we can't get into clinicals we can't get into lecture either.

Ok so I just called and she said correct, we do NOT need the hep b as long as we sign the declination waiver.
