I know it's a little early to start this but I just submitted my application yesterday and wanted to know if anyone else has submitted theirs yet.

I am looking to go to Central campus and I'm impatiently waiting to see if I have been accepted.

I'm applying Saturday. I've read about the points but I don't fully understand it. Can you explain how they work?

I applied to the program already and I received my points already as well. Hoping for the best with all of our applications. I've been reading over some nursing books just to prepare myself a little bit for the program. I have a question, for our pool of students they can't retake any classes at keiser? whatever their first grade is what counts? Or is that starting for the next cycle?

Well 9/15 is the deadline for the program starting 1/2019 so if you wanted to retake a class and have them use the new grade to consider your application & increase your chances of getting accepted you would need to turn in those grades in by 9/15.

Any class that any student retake for better grade will not be used in consideration for admission to BC program only the grade you get for your 1st attempt will be used. This i think will apply for the May 2019 program

They have my points up too. They gave me 9 points. Very nerve racking I'm nowhere near 16 points. My grades were AP1 - A

AP1 lab - A

AP2 - B

AP2 lab - B

Eng - B

On the nursing admissions web page it states that starting with the January 2019 pool only the first successful attempt in the classes will be excepted. Maybe it's wrong but still I would call and check with admissions before wasting time and money retaking classes if they won't be used anyway

Right. Its confusing b/c deadline for Jan 2019 program is 9/15, im going to find out if a student retook a class at another school such as Keiser in summer 2018 will that grade be accepted for the Jan 2019 program.

OR

Does it mean that retakes starting Jan 2019 semester will not be considered for next nursing program which is the May 2019 program

I was under the impression that retake classes wouldn't be counted starting January 2019. Meaning if you're applying for that January 2019 cohort and you retook a class at any time that that class wouldn't count. Only the first successful attempt would. but I could be wrong.

How money points did you get and what were your grades if you don't mind me asking?

I could be wrong but I'm under the impression that the applicants who are applying for the January 2019 term and beyond will be awarded points based on there first successful attempts in the prerequisites.

What I need BC to do is clarify if this new first attempt grade policy is effective starting Jan 2019 or it applies to students applying for the Jan 2019 program & every program after (or until they get rid of this policy)
