I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!

I am going to North. I would call maybe you can turn it in before if you finish early.

I'm curious, did anyone else have to get revaccinated for anything? I had to get revaccinated for varicella. Apparently you can lose immunity over time.

South sent an email about flu vaccine. It is not needed right now but will be come fall.

Once you have the virus, you always have it. You probably never had the virus but you can't revaccinate for varicella. Never heard of that.

I did have the virus actually very badly when I was 5! But, per my titers I needed to be vaccinated. Thinking about it just makes me itchy, lol! I guess it's better to be protected now than get the virus again as an adult. I hear its painful as an adult.

Hmm. That's odd. Same here. I got it at 5 but I don't need to be vaccinated.

Thank you, I will check on Monday and post it here in case anyone else was wondering. I am finally done with everything, what a relief! Glad I did most of the stuff before the big meeting, now I can just concentrate on finishing this term and studying ahead. Good luck to everyone, see you in first process!

I got all my uniforms already from the North Bookstore. I bought the nurse jacket, 3 sets of scrubs and polo just in case.
