So i have a question hopefully someone can help me with...
I had to relocate to Miami and i'm registered at the Central Campus, does anyone know who i could contact to maybe transfer to south before the semester starts? If i can't go to south obviously i will just drive up to central campus, but if there is a chance to transfer now i'm going to try to take it.
Thanks

If you can PM me and still haven't gotten the info you're looking for, I may have a phone number for you to call to ask that question. : )
Where did you guys get the list of the books and supplies we need?
They sent out an email with the booklist. Also, in central campus, bldg 8 they have the list up on the wall, in the nursing dept where you drop off all the papers. Aside from that, I think a few people, including myself have posted the booklist that covers the first semester. I'm not sure if it's in this thread, but just do a search "broward college booklist" if not, PM me, I don't mind sending you a copy. :)
Love it. They changed the date of the *mandatory* orientation to the 5th now. Not a problem for me, but it looks bad on them, changing it so late and making it mandatory- this is when people have already made plans for holiday vactions, and some are likely to still be gone, maybe just getting back that day.
Just seems like no matter what semester it is there's some way they can't get their you-know-what together.
Hoping classes and clinicals will be more well structured.

LOL, tell me about it.....they made it so the onliners have to go to two orientations, the one on the 5th and then another on the 6th....I sure do hope things aren't this disorganized once we get going.
is anyone buying their books online or just not at the bookstore? I know in the bookstore some of the books come with CDS, however im not finding them on amazon with the CDS? does this matter? does anyone know if we need the cds?
If you can do a search with the isbn number, or google the book, you'll find a few of the books with cds. I've gotten all of my books online and some have come with cds.
hello all! on the count down to the big day! my name is karen, and i look forward to meeting all. i am a bit nervous but excited! i purchased all books on-line for half the cost. the only one i didnt get is the med-surg books due to the 8th edition is coming out. dont forget we need to purchase orientation packets as well, available on jan 3rd at campus store.
hi karen,
i also got my books online. stethoscopes are cheaper online as well. i know students who have gotten their scope bidding on ebay and they've done really well but i went to medisave.net.
i got my module packet at the bc north bookstore a month or two ago. it contains nursing modules and clinical evaluations for proc i & ii. then i downloaded and printed a lot of forms and instructions for those classes from prof. brickman's website on broward.edu. i believe there is more to download and print from the blackboard site that prof. brickman said would open on the first day of class. please describe to me what other packet you bought at the bookstore and what you were told will become available online on jan. 3rd. i'm at north campus and i know there are some differences. are you at a different campus?

Got a message today from the school saying my physical and documents were looked over and were fine, I just have to keep submitting my Hep B series:)
My husband, on the other hand, got a message saying he needed a titer to prove he has immunity to MMR- even though he had his immunization records turned in, and were done within the past ten years....The problem is the actual physical (pages 1-4), the one the examiner looks at, says one thing, and the 'prephysical', for lack of a better word, the first two pages or so that came before those, say a different thing.
So looks like my husband needs to get some more titers done. (It could be worse- at least they're letting him, and not saying well hey, you're screwed and now you're not going to be a January nursing student.)
