Hi! This is a thread for anyone applying for August 2012 class at Broward College for the generic nursing track. I deferred my seat so I will be starting in August. I haven't decided if I want to go to central or south yet.. I'm super excited about starting in August! If I could help anyone with anything feel free to ask! :)

thanks laquain99. although i was kinda looking forward to starting at south campus MDC is closer to me, so ill be staying in miami. once again congratulations to all of us its time to hit the books for the next 18 months

How much is the total cost of the Nursing Program?

Bc website says 6000.00 but. Its really around 9000.00

I wanted to ask if someone knows where I can take the cpr course other than broward. I tried to enroll, but all the classes are already taken there or they do not work for me with my current schedule. I am afraid that might stop me to start school for some reason on August, so I would appreciate any thought from any of you guys... thanks!!

They have the book list online on the BC website. Of course we won't really know which ones we will truly need, I'll probably just buy them all to be safe.

There is a book list on the bc website. It lists the books per subject. At the pre-admissions meeting they will not give us a booklist. They will email info after that though, the booklist my be emailed then along with timetables. There is a nursing package at the. Bookstore with all the books both required and recommended for about $900. This package includes books for the entire program not just the first semester.

Nursing Unlimited in miami gives the cpr class for $95

check CPR Florida they offer the classes in palm beach and ft. lauderdale for $65.

I found different classes in the red cross webpage. Just google it. The classes are 110 though. I am going to pick one of those because I asked an advisor, and it is accepted. I do not want to take something that they might reject.
