Broward College August 2011

Hi guys, is anyone else working towards starting the nursing program at BC in August 2011? I am working on my last pre-reqs this semester (spring 11) and then apply and hopefully get accepted for the fall semester. I just took and passed the hesi exam last night and that is one big load off my back. I also started my hep shots since it takes 3 rounds of shots and a total of 6 months to be fully immunized. I want to have all of my ducks in order to start the program. I am undecided whether to go to south or central campus. Any advice?

No I haven't been awarded but according to them in lue of my finances I will be awarded enough to cover

Books tuition and maybe some left over. I think they award depending on how soon u applied for. Deadline is July 15. I had it done since last week so it takes aprox 30 days.

I wish I had $ to start doing all the stuff I see people here are doing breeding book and stuff. I even saw people getting shots too!

I'm a cna already so hopefully process won't be so hard

Thx much- I just was wondering if something was wrong. Don't feel left behind with books and shots...we will have enuff time to get evrything done. I haven't done anything yet either, so don't feel bad.

I got mu scrubs and polo shirt today.. I also have all my books! Yayyy excited to meet u all July 14th ;)

Polo shirts? Is there more stuff other than scrubs? I was wondering if they had jackets and or allowed us to wear long sleeve tshirts ...

Happy for you you are all set... Question how do you that's the approved booklist for the fall and for north campus? I've seen the list posted here...

My friend gave me all her books from January term. I just bought whatever the book store told me to and they said we need a polo shirt for class.

Sounds like you are making great progress! I did not get the polo shirt as I wasn't sure when and why we used them. Did you also get the Lab kit yet?

My friend gave me all her supplies, she ended up dropping out of the program. I have all her books and the lab kit. I didn't buy the lab jacket. I will buy all of that when my FA kicks in.
