Broward College August 2011

Published

Hi guys, is anyone else working towards starting the nursing program at BC in August 2011? I am working on my last pre-reqs this semester (spring 11) and then apply and hopefully get accepted for the fall semester. I just took and passed the hesi exam last night and that is one big load off my back. I also started my hep shots since it takes 3 rounds of shots and a total of 6 months to be fully immunized. I want to have all of my ducks in order to start the program. I am undecided whether to go to south or central campus. Any advice?

Hi everyone, I'm new on here. Congrats on your acceptances!! :ancong!:

I'm applying for the January program! I'm Reallllyyy nervous. My Gpa is a 3.2 in the prereqs. I'm planning on taking the Hesi in early July!

Was the Hesi hard? Is everything I need to know in the studyguide?

Also wondering if they have any policy on withdraws from the prereq courses? I called and they said they don't care. But I'm still worried!

What were your GPA's & Hesi scores for those that got in? Do points really count & how do you calculate those? I dont live in broward and have no HOSA.

Thanks,

Cary:redbeathe

Your 3.2 GPA is fine.... Just do real good on the HESI. The HESI manual is overall a fair study guide. GOOD LUCK 2 U!!!

Be careful who you take classes from, if i remember correctly during the nursing information session the lady said it has to be someone that's approved by the nursing board or the red cross. I did mine through nursing unlimited and my employer paid for it.

She is approved by both

Good luck to u, and welcome.

Wow 16 points!! Yayy us! I'm so proud of us! God is good. What campus will you be going to?

God is truly amazing tiktok. I'm proud of all of us 2. I know it is a really hard program, but I think if we stick together as students, we will be successful. If we help each other, it should all go well. I plan to go HARD-cuz i'm not going home! I'll be attending North, God's willing. Where will u be attending?

@pedrn27........us sticking together as students is the key. i think it's all about us motivating each other and seeing to it that we all graduate. like i tell my friends i don't have to be the class valedictorian; i just want to learn and pass each semester and in the end be able to pass the nclex.......

Does anyone need their CPR, and aids classes done? I know a lady!! She's amazing and cheap!!

I called the continuing education department as I have been trying to get into a Basic Life Support class -HSC0405. They called and said there was one slot but by the time I got home the slot was gone.:crying2:

I did find an off campus class for $35 taught by an MDC instructor. It is such a personal blessing to have found a wonderful teacher and a great price.:)
