Hello!!! Just wondering if anyone else has applied for August 2010 yet? :)

I applied for August 2009. May 15th was our deadline and emails went out around the 17th of June. However due to an email problem on their end, I didn't get mine until the 24th. So you're looking at around a month.

may 15 is the deadline for fall 2010 class. my question is how long did applicants for the previous terms have entered had to wait to see if they were accepted or not? a week a month? what?

I think I read on the nursing info page that you will have a decision within 30 days of the close date. Thank you for the congrats :) I'm just relieved that it is over!

Just finished HESI at FAU and passed!

I was most worried about the AP and I got a 92% on that section. I used the HESI study guide and the AP section from the Diversified Health Occupations textbook (HCP0130)to study. I think all but a couple questions were familiar to me from those texts.

The math section is well covered by the HESI study guide.

FAU gives you a dry erase board to work with-no calculators.

Congrats Plmmar!!!! Sooooo did anyone else notice the extension on the deadline to turn apps in???!!?! Ahhhhhh I'm bummed! I called this morning to see if that means that we'd have to wait till late July early August, and the lady was like, "oh if you've turned yours in you should hear back waaaay before then.".... So who knows!!!

I was worried we wouldn't hear back forever. Good to know that they won't make us wait until 30 days after the deadline to find out. I bet they aren't getting as many applications because of the HESI. I can hardly wait to get my grade from A&P II so I can apply. Not too much longer now. Congratulations to all of those who have passed the HESI!

Hello all I just stumble across this thread I usually read about south florida nursing program under the Florida fourms, but anyways I was accepted to the May 2010 program with 14points but I defered my seat to Aug 2010 program. I do know that they wait excatly 30 days to let you know if youre accepted. Good luck to everyone :yeah:

once you submit an application can you replace a grade on the application? or can you revoke your application and reapply? because i am planning to take advantage of the deadline extension and take another chemistry course during the summer to replace my C grade in CHM 1032. Anyone know??

Your transcript automatically updates online with an r next to the repeated class so I do not know why you would need to submit new application since they would have access to your transcript online. You would want to check though. Also, since deadline was extended do all those people utilizing extension now have to take HESI?

well its not the same class im repeating, its a different CHM. i dnt think u understood my ? but its ok im goin to call n ask them anyway if they will pick up their frickin phone! lol... i even left a message n no call back

but extension or not.. the hesi must be taken and PASSED prior to submitting an application for August. When i turned my app in the first thing the lady asked was if i took the hesi yet. And she seemed so suprised i guess because i turned my application in really early she thought i didnt know about the hesi as many other students who are applying did not or still are not aware of it.

I would call and ask them about the repeat class. If it were me I would go ahead and re-submit once I got the new grade. That way you can be sure that the new grade and the points apply.

That's exactly wut im planning to do. Im already registered for CHM 1040 which starts May 10 and ends sometime in June. My advisor said if i get an A i can put that on my application instead of CHM 1032. However, i turned my app in already with the C in CHM 1032. So im just goin to turn in another application once the class ends or ask them if they could update it, hopefully theres not a problem since my app is already in the system, and hopefully i wont have to pay another application fee. But if i do then i dont mind paying it, it will be worth it in the end.

Definitely worth it to pay the registration fee if you can raise your point number. Good luck in chemistry, even a B is better than the C but shoot for that A!
