Did anyone already turn in there applications for Fall 2009 @ B.C.? because I am turning mine in next week before the deadline and now I have to wait AGAIN and keep continually looking at my e-mail and the myBC account for the Limited Access Program everyday hopefully I get in THIS TIME being my 3rd time :yeah:

WOW that is alot!!!! Thank you sooo much, Im gonna print this out so that I can go and use as a guide when I purchase them, lol. Omg I can already Imagine how pricey this is going to be!!

If you know of anyone that is selling their books let me know!! :wink2:

Oh I forgot to ask did you use any books for the Math Class???

oh i forgot to ask did you use any books for the math class???

you don't need a book for the math class. just attend class and if you need help, see a tutor or an instructor in the lab.

don't buy the kit until process ii. the instructors will tell you it is refundable. however, the book store will not allow you to return it. also, there are students who buy everything and then, quit during process i. you can buy there kit at a discount when the book store refuses to refund them their money.

It's because you have classes at HSC NORTH (lecture, math and pharm) and HOSPITAL (clinicals)

I am also registered for North and I have all the same classes as you, except for clinicals. However, if I remember correctly, it really doesn't matter which clinical you actually register for because you will be assigned one the first day.

i don't think the clinical matter, were all going to the same clinical together, its all the same date and time, unless its a different hospital, i don't know. Do you know whats the passing average.

Any know what the passing average is, my friend goes to FAMU, she says there average passing grade is 70%, she also says there was another nursing program she attending and it was 74% any lower is a failing grade.

i only used the following during my first semester:

process i

the modules (a packet in the bookstore) - i answered the objectives to study for the test.

fundamentals book - must have, will use for process i & ii. don't buy the fundamentals study guide. it doesn't have any critical thinking questions, just fill in the blank low level questions.

skills book - must have, will use for process i, ii, gi/gu, ortho/neuro, cardio

jarvis physical assessment pocket companion - will use the entire program, great to learn how to appropriately assess.

cox clinical care plan book - will use to write careplans. used once at end of process one and then, used

in every class throughout program.

process ii

lab kit - overpriced with outdated equipment, but mandatory

davis drug guide - either the book or an electronic program on palm pilot or phone

fluid & electrolyte made easy - a great supplement to understand f & e

plus all of the books from process i

pharm

lilley study guide

packet

you don't need the pharm book.

some students use the fundamental success and/or test success books. however, i didn't use any of those type of supplements.

does the modules include objectives for the pharamacology class or just process i?

is the packet for the pharmacology class the same as the study guide? or do you get that from the bookstore/ professor?

hey...famu is one of the school i applied to...do you have any more info on this school ?

not much, my friend got in as an alternate with 3.1, shes now at her 3rd semester, its a BSN program only 5semesters 18 weeks. the bad thing ive heard is that if u fail the final, even if u've done well all semester you fail, and get kicked out of the program, so the finals really decide your fate. Its a real high rated school for nursing, with 100% passing on the NURSING FLORIDA BOARD TEST.

Why is MDC nursing Generic 13 months and BCC Generic 18 Months?
