Did anyone already turn in there applications for Fall 2009 @ B.C.? because I am turning mine in next week before the deadline and now I have to wait AGAIN and keep continually looking at my e-mail and the myBC account for the Limited Access Program everyday hopefully I get in THIS TIME being my 3rd time
Dizzy-
I was under the impression that it was the same for all campuses regarding the fact that it didn't matter what clinical you actually signed up for because you would be put into clinical groups once class begins. I know it works like this for sure at North, so maybe it works like that at central, too. maybe you can email Twana and ask her. Otherwise, maybe you'll luck out and get assigned to the clinical group that you want.
Yeah...i'll try to give them a call tomorrow just to see. The clinical teacher I signed up with said that they usually have you sign up for the clinicals for Process I and II, but whoever you get for Process I is who you stay with the whole semester....usually. But....we'll see. I'm not going to fret over it, there will be many other things to worry about then this, right? Thanks for your input!
When did you apply, Coolie? I had my FAFSA done several months ago and my financial aid award showed up on my financial aid award page a week or two ago. If you applied later, it may take some time. If you applied after the deadline, you might not know anything until AFTER the semester begins.
actually, it will work like this:you take the letter grade and turn it into a number. a=4, b=3, etc. multiply that by the number of credit hours the class is. then you add them all up and divide by the total number of credit hours, which is 14.
1 .enc1101 c=2 x 3 (credit hrs)= 6
2. bsc2085 a=4 x 3 (credit hrs)= 12
3. bsc2085l a = 4 x 1 (credit hr)= 4
4. bsc2086 b = 3 x 3 (credit hrs) = 9
5. bsc2086l a = 4 x 1 (credit hr) = 4
6. chm1032 a = 4 x 3 (credit hrs) =12
total of 6+12+4+9+4+12= 47
47/14= 3.35
they do not round up or down, so they look at it like a 3.3, which will give you 9 pts, plus 1 for broward resident= 10pts.
if you get a b in chem, you will have a 3.14, which is a 3.1, and that is 7 pts, plust 1 for broward resident, which makes it 8 pts total.
Jam-
Yes, my CEU's were all done at Sheridan. Thing is, I did it back in February, and they are only good for 2 years, so they will need to be redone by Feb 2011. I graduate May 2011, so I would end up having to redo them while I'm in the program, and rather than do that, I'm redoing them now.
I know it doesn't sound very promising to have 8 pts, but a friend of mine was on the alternate list with 8 pts and all the alternates made it in this time. It's very possible to still get in. Try your hardest to get that A in Chem. Unfortunately, I can't recommend any Chem for you to take......my professor was the worst one ever. And as far as Enc to redo, I'm not sure of that either.

coolie - I was told that south goes to the Memorial Hospitals, like Memorial regional and Memorial West, but I am not sure.
sunray - some of our clinical teachers were listed as TBA but there were a lot that weren't. I spoke to the clinical teacher I signed up for originally since I was in a review class she was teaching and she said that she went to Westside Regional which was nice since it was relativly close to my house. I think the new instructor I was put with goes to Broward General, which is far...like 30 minutes. But oh well....i will work with what they give me, but it would have been nice to have a more convenient hospital to go to.
