Broward August 2015

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Anyone know the exact day we would start if we are in the program?

August 24th

A lot of people I've met don't want to go to BC. They say they have heard awful things about the program and are apply to other places. I'm gonna give BC a shot.

From what I hear though, Broward nursing student have a great reputation in the field. I am ready to do the work to earn that reputation and continue it.

I'm planning on getting my RN for now but I won't stop there. I just don't have the money to fork over for a BSN program and I don't want to wait any longer.

I completely agree. I'd rather be prepared. I hear great things about the BC grads.

My friend and I were just talking about this. We were saying How there are so many horrible stories about BC Nursing program and we began to think that maybe it's because it's easy for the average person to get accepted. All you have to do is meet the requirements and you have a shot. however, not everyone is nurse material and a hard worker. that could play a part in it. I guess we will see come August

Tomorrow I am going to the doctor to get my physical and immunization stuff taken care of . All the paperwork is provided on the BC website so I don't see why we can't do that early and we know we got in if we meet the requirements and there's so many seats open.

@resueninja123 I heard they take 150 per campus that means 450 seats all together since there is 3 campuses

I think you're right. I came up with that number in a weird way.

Email me for the the fundamentals reading list. It wont let me post it on here [email protected]

wow i didnt know it was like that!

the good ones are prioritization delegation etc, perry potter fundamentals of nursing, success for nursing, saunders, davis's drug guide. those are just some i can name off the top of my head and they can all be found on amazon for decent rates

My staus finally changed to Application in Review! Yay! I know it's not a huge deal, but for some reason it makes me really excited. I guess it's because it means I'm one step closer! Here's hoping we all get those long-awaited acceptance e-mails! Happy Friday everyone! :)
