Broward August 2015

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

Also, can you tell me what books you are using this semester or do you happen to have a Slyabus you can email me from all your classes so I can have a better idea what to expect and be way ahead of the game :) thanks for your help!!! It is GREATLY APPRECIATED

Clinical days are assignment the first or second week of class by the instructors. The same day until your second semester.

No I do not work. I will try and attach the reading list and book like here!

These are the chapters that correlate with the exams. The book is fundamentals of nursing by Perry and Potter.

I know the semesters are not like normal length ...how many weeks is one semester in this program ? I take it it's not August to December like a typical semester is ?

Semesters are the same, but they are divided in half meaning you take two classes per semester. One for the first 8 weeks, and another for the second 8 weeks. In the summer each class is 6 weeks long.

Hey I am at south campus . And math passing is 90% whats the minimum for the other campus

Hey guys. ! Just got accepted to January 2016 and I couldn't be more excited! Does anyone have their pharm and math syllabus they can take a pic of the book needed, chapters need to be read and what exams will cover by chance so I can get a jump start on those ?

Someone already gave me process 1. Thanks anyone for any advice or help you can offer a future RN !!!

math book you don't really need. I got it and barely

used it. we have not taken our pharmacology test

yet, so I can not give you no advice for that class.

Theory, just follow directions, listen in class, and reading only reinforce what is said in class. I scored high on both my test b/c I did just that. I work one day a week. If you have just take a vacation the first two weeks of school because scoring high on the first test will boost up your confidence to continue to do better
