Broward August 2015

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

the first two weeks is a lot. Oritation will exhaust you. First test was ok and fair. I took two weeks off

from work when school stared and focused on just studying

and the hard work showed. I'm not stressing about going to process two because I worked

hard on the first test. I was not trying to make up

points on my future test for my laziness in the beginning . the higher your test scores are in the less point you need for the final

That makes sense to do really well the first exam! Great advice !!

Which class did you have an exam in in the first 2 weeks of school? Was is process 1?

process 1 is three classes plus lab in 8 weeks.

the only class that last 16 week's is pharmacology. Pharmacology is part of process 2. Theory and math will come to a end in 8 weeks. If you don't pass theory, math, and lab you cannot continue to process 2

What is theory exactly?

I get what process 1, pharm and math are and I can see them in the course catalog when I search broward nursing courses but I don't see a "theory" class offered. Does it have a book too?

Process is 2 times a week, right ?

And lab is when you go to the hospital ? It's the 12 hour course ?

Thanks so much for helping me better understand !

Yes theory is process 1 twice a week, lab is clinical/hospital once a week 12hrs, math is about 5 weeks long once a week, and pharmacology is once a week for a full regulate semester so like 5 months long

My schedule is lecture m&f 9am-12pm, clinical wednes 630-630pm, math is over but was Thursday 130-430, pharm Thursday 5-7pm

thanks! how was pharm? any suggestions on what i can read for that? what do you think is the most difficult class right now?

appreciate all the feed back

just took our first pharmacology test. I can only speak for North Campus. The test was fair. Study the slides and you will do fine.

Did they have any issues with the CEU's that you turned in form CEUFAST?[TABLE=class: cms_table_table-grid, width: 100%]

Nope they actually encourage using CEU fast :) you should be good

I start the program in 2 weeks, Anyone have suggestions on what to read before we start process 1 ? Chapters and what not ? Does anyone have old power points that wouldn't mind emailing and sharing so I can get a better feel of what they will be like ?

Thanks !

My schedule is lecture m&f 9am-12pm, clinical wednes 630-630pm, math is over but was Thursday 130-430, pharm Thursday 5-7pm

How did you find out what your clinical day was. They are telling me they don't know until we start is that true?
