Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but I've seen other threads for other semesters for Broward College. I didn't find one for August 2015. I figured this would be a good place to share each other's excitement to (HOPEFULLY!) start the program in August. Let's all support each other on this journey! :)

How did you find out what your clinical day was. They are telling me they don't know until we start is that true?

My clinical day has already been assigned for January, have you checked your schedule online? You should definitely already know.

I start the program in 2 weeks, Anyone have suggestions on what to read before we start process 1 ? Chapters and what not ? Does anyone have old power points that wouldn't mind emailing and sharing so I can get a better feel of what they will be like ?

Fundamentals of Nursing textbook.. Begin reading chapter 29 Vital Signs! The topics for Exam 1 are Vital Signs, Hygiene, Health Assessment, Documentation, Safety, and Nursing Process.. I still have all the Power Points from process 1 so give me your email and I'll send them to you (please be patient if it takes a while for me to send them) I'll also try to find the reading list with the chapters for the topics (some topics have multiple chapters)

The schedule doesn't tell you your clinical day, the first week clinicals is Tuesday AND Wednesday. Then the following weeks after It'll be either Tuesday or Wednesday (you will be able to choose)

What campus are you attending? Maybe it differs with each campus because central campus has already been assigned our clinical days.
